Barrier Nylon (Semi-Aromatic Nylon) PA6I/6T

Nylon 6I/6T (PA6I/6T) is a semi-aromatic transparent nylon synthesized through a special process. It is produced by the copolymerization of terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid, and hexamethylenediamine in specific designed proportions. This material features high transparency, high rigidity, low water absorption, low shrinkage, and excellent chemical resistance. It has passed ROHS and FDA tests.

Nylon 6I/6T (PA6I/6T) is a type of transparent nylon. Similar to other transparent nylons, it offers high light transmittance comparable to optical glass, excellent barrier properties, and good retort resistance. Its oxygen permeability is 1/20 to 1/25 that of PET, and its carbon dioxide permeability is 1/5 that of PET.

Its water vapor transmission rate is equivalent to that of PET. It is suitable not only for beverage and food packaging but also for packaging precision instruments, gauges, and pharmaceutical and chemical products. It can be used to produce cushioning pads for moisture resistance and shock absorption, as well as foamed sheets. The material exhibits good tensile strength, impact resistance, rigidity, wear resistance, chemical resistance, and surface hardness.
